Greg Alexander is a conservative Republican seeking reelection to the Michigan House of Representatives for the 98th District, which includes all of Huron County and parts of Sanilac, Tuscola, and Lapeer Counties.

Born and raised on a dairy farm in Sanilac County, Greg developed a deep appreciation for agriculture early in life. After graduating from Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School, he spent 15 years working in small business, retail, building, and infrastructure.

In 2008, Greg was elected as Sanilac County’s Drain Commissioner, where he tackled critical infrastructure issues and modernized the Drain Department to enhance efficiency and fairness. As a State Representative, he has championed rural Michigan values, fighting for the interests of his constituents.

Greg is committed to continuing his work in Lansing, advocating for lower taxes and fewer regulations, opposing wasteful spending, and defending the Second Amendment.

The 98th House District was redistricted after the completion of the 2020 Census.

The district encompasses all of Huron County, Sanilac County (with the exception of Worth Twp.), and parts of Lapeer and Tuscola Counties.

Greg recognizes the critical importance of reducing government interference to empower job creators. His leadership has been instrumental in cutting bureaucratic red tape, paving the way for a robust economy where local businesses can excel at what they do best—creating jobs. Greg is also committed to ensuring parents stay in control of their children’s education and that every student has access to the best educational opportunities. He prioritizes improving reading rates, ensuring school safety, and championing school choice.

In Lansing, Greg works tirelessly to ensure more of your hard-earned income stays in your pocket. Amidst an economy grappling with steep inflation and high fuel prices under the Whitmer/Biden administration, Greg fights for tax reductions to benefit all Michiganders. He is also dedicated to bolstering public trust in the electoral process by advocating for sensible voter ID legislation. Despite facing gubernatorial vetoes, he remains steadfast in his efforts to uphold the integrity of our elections. Additionally, as a farmer, Greg believes in responsible stewardship of our land and environment, emphasizing local control over energy decisions. He opposes stripping away local authority and advocates for affordable, reliable energy solutions, standing firmly against energy mandates that increase costs for taxpayers and create challenges for local communities.
