As a Dairy Farmer, Greg Alexander understands that agriculture is one of Michigan’s leading industries, producing over $6.5 billion in products. However, the government policies that have been implemented throughout COVID have had a negative effect on the agricultural industry leaving store shelves empty and local farmers struggling.
As our next State Representative, Greg Alexander will work to rebuild our supply chain so that our farmers can easily get their products to market; he will support Michigan’s Right to Farm Act so that our farmers can continue to utilize existing and new technologies without interference from the government. Additionally, Greg will work to increase funding for the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program–a program that provides farmers with assistance to adopt and strengthen conservation practices and risk mitigation plans.
